Location: Jebel Ali, Dubai, UAE
Salary: 4000 – 5000 AED per month

About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Safety Officer to join our team in Jebel Ali, Dubai. The ideal candidate will have 3 to 5 years of experience in the field of health and safety, with a strong background in ensuring compliance with safety regulations and promoting a safe working environment. SARS (Safety Accreditation Recognition Scheme) certification is mandatory for this role.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and monitor health and safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local and international regulations.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure all safety equipment and tools are available, functional, and properly maintained.
- Conduct safety training sessions for employees and contractors to promote a culture of safety awareness.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for prevention.
- Liaise with government authorities and ensure all safety documentation and permits are up to date.
- Monitor and enforce compliance with safety standards, including PPE usage and safe work practices.
- Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training sessions.
Requirements:
- 3 to 5 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer in a similar industry (construction, manufacturing, oil & gas, etc.).
- SARS certification is mandatory.
- In-depth knowledge of UAE health and safety regulations and standards.
- Strong understanding of risk assessment methodologies and hazard identification.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to conduct training sessions and deliver safety presentations.
- Proficient in preparing safety reports and documentation.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Fluency in English (spoken and written); knowledge of Arabic is a plus.
