Hiring Logistics Manager – UAE

Location: Dubai

Our client is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Logistics Manager. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing and optimizing our logistics operations, ensuring efficient and cost-effective processes. This role requires strong leadership skills, extensive knowledge of logistics and supply chain management, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Duties and responsibilities

• Oversee daily logistics operations, including warehousing, transportation, and distribution activities. Ensure smooth and efficient workflows.
• Develop and implement strategies to improve logistics processes and reduce costs. Monitor performance metrics and identify areas for improvement.
• Lead and manage a team of logistics professionals. Provide training, guidance, and support to ensure high performance and professional development.
• Monitor inventory levels and ensure accurate record-keeping. Implement inventory control procedures to minimize stock discrepancies and optimize stock levels.
• Establish and maintain relationships with third-party service providers, including transportation companies and warehouse operators. Negotiate contracts and service agreements.
• Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction by meeting delivery timelines and addressing any logistics-related issues. Collaborate with the customer service team to resolve customer complaints.
• Ensure compliance with industry regulations, safety standards, and company policies. Stay updated on relevant laws and regulations affecting logistics operations.
• Prepare and manage logistics budgets. Monitor expenses and implement cost-saving measures without compromising service quality.
• Utilize logistics software and technology to enhance operational efficiency. Stay informed about new technologies and innovations in the logistics industry.
• Prepare and present regular reports on logistics performance, including key performance indicators (KPIs) and cost analyses. Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.

Qualifications and skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
• Minimum of 8 years of experience in logistics management, preferably within the 3rd party logistics industry.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.
• Proficiency in logistics software (WMS, TMS, OMS)
