Description:
Molina Healthcare is seeking a detail-oriented and organized Medical Records Collector to support its quality improvement and healthcare data initiatives. This role focuses on collecting, managing, and processing medical records to support Healthcare Effectiveness Data and Information Set (HEDIS) reporting and audit processes.
The position plays a key role in ensuring accurate healthcare data collection by coordinating with providers, managing documentation, and supporting internal teams in maintaining compliance and quality standards. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently with healthcare data systems.
Key Responsibilities:
• Contact healthcare providers via phone, fax, mail, and electronic systems to collect medical records
• Retrieve and upload medical records into the HEDIS data system
• Support annual HEDIS audits and related quality improvement initiatives
• Coordinate with providers and internal teams for data collection and documentation
• Assist leadership with project coordination and medical records management
• Participate in vendor meetings related to records collection processes
• Travel to provider locations when required for record collection
• Ensure accuracy and completeness of medical records in internal systems
• Maintain organized tracking of records, files, and documentation workflows
Requirements:
• At least 1 year of customer service or administrative experience in healthcare
• Valid driver’s license with reliable transportation (travel required)
• Strong communication and active listening skills
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Office Suite
• Ability to manage files, schedules, and large volumes of data
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work with healthcare professionals and internal teams
• Strong knowledge of:
