Description:

The Wisconsin Reading Center (WRC), a leading retinal image reading laboratory affiliated with the University of Wisconsin-Madison, is seeking a detail-oriented Data Entry Operator to support ophthalmology research and clinical trials. This remote position plays an important role in preparing and maintaining high-quality digital ocular images used for medical analysis and research.

The successful candidate will work with specialized image processing software, review retinal scans, ensure data accuracy, and support quality assurance processes. This role requires strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while contributing to a collaborative research environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter patient and research data accurately into databases and systems.

• Prepare, organize, and review digital images and documents for analysis.

• Convert image formats and operate segmentation software tools.

• Examine retinal image segmentation lines for accuracy and completeness.

• Manually correct segmentation lines to ensure precise retinal structure identification.

• Optimize images using proprietary software for viewing metadata and documentation.

• Maintain compliance with patient privacy and data security standards.

• Support quality assurance activities by reviewing processed images and data.

• Maintain organized records of all processed images and research data.

• Collaborate with team members during quarterly onsite meetings in Madison, WI.

Requirements:

• High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.

• Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.

• Excellent problem-solving, written communication, and interpersonal skills.

• Experience working in healthcare, research, or clinical trial environments is preferred.

• Experience in ophthalmology or optometry settings is an advantage.

• Proficiency with software operations related to image processing and data management.

• Ability to work independently in a remote environment with minimal supervision.
