Description:
A leading construction company in Abu Dhabi is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Accountant to join its finance team. This role is ideal for professionals with industry experience in fit-out, joinery, construction, or contracting environments who can effectively manage financial operations while ensuring accuracy and compliance.
The successful candidate will play an important role in maintaining financial records, preparing reports, supporting budgeting activities, and ensuring smooth accounting operations. Candidates with strong technical accounting skills, ERP system experience, and the ability to work in a fast-paced project-based environment are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and financial transactions.
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and account reconciliations.
• Monitor and manage accounts payable and accounts receivable activities.
• Maintain accurate financial records and supporting documentation.
• Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning processes.
• Support internal and external audit requirements.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and financial regulations.
• Review accounting entries and verify transaction accuracy.
• Coordinate with internal departments regarding financial matters.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Previous experience within the fit-out, joinery, construction, or contracting industry is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial reporting standards.
• Experience preparing reconciliations and maintaining accurate financial records.
• Proficiency in ERP systems, accounting software, and Microsoft Excel.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
