Al Ghurair CEW is looking to hire a qualified and experienced General Accountant to join their team in the UAE. This role is ideal for candidates who have a solid background in accounting within the construction sector and are capable of managing financial operations with accuracy and efficiency. The selected candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial records, ensuring compliance, and supporting overall financial management processes.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare financial statements, reports, and reconciliations as required
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, company policies, and regulatory requirements
• Handle accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger activities
• Utilize accounting software such as BuildSmart for financial tracking and reporting
• Perform data analysis and reporting using MS Excel
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline
• 5–7 years of relevant experience within the GCC, preferably in the construction industry
• Strong understanding of accounting principles and financial procedures
• Hands-on experience with BuildSmart accounting software and advanced MS Excel
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Must be currently residing in the UAE
