Description:
SMC Steel is currently looking to hire a responsible and detail-focused Accountant to join its finance team in the UAE. The ideal candidate should have relevant UAE experience and strong knowledge of accounting practices, particularly within VAT compliance and reporting.
This role is suitable for a professional who can manage day-to-day accounting tasks, ensure accurate financial records, and support VAT-related submissions in line with UAE regulations. The company is seeking someone who is organized, analytical, and capable of working efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain accurate financial records and daily accounting entries
• Handle accounts payable and receivable transactions
• Prepare and process invoices, vouchers, and payment documentation
• Assist in VAT filing, VAT return preparation, and submission processes
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT laws and accounting standards
• Reconcile bank statements and company accounts regularly
• Support financial reporting and month-end closing activities
• Work closely with internal teams to ensure smooth financial operations
• Utilize accounting software and MS Excel for reporting and data management
Requirements:
• Minimum 2 years of accounting experience in the UAE
• Strong understanding of UAE VAT regulations and compliance requirements
• Experience in VAT filing and submission processes
• Proficiency in accounting software and MS Excel
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
• Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently
