Description:
Probus Engineering and Construction L.L.C. is seeking an experienced Cost Controller to join its team in Abu Dhabi. This opportunity is ideal for professionals with extensive experience in EPC Oil and Gas projects, particularly those who have worked on ADNOC projects and possess strong project cost control expertise.
The successful candidate will be responsible for monitoring project costs, preparing financial reports and forecasts, tracking commitments and expenditures, and coordinating with multiple project teams to ensure cost efficiency throughout the project lifecycle. Candidates with excellent analytical skills and strong commercial awareness are encouraged to apply.
Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor and control project costs against approved budgets.
• Maintain and update cost data related to commitments, invoices, actual payments, and cost-to-go.
• Prepare cost reports, forecasts, cash flow statements, and variance analysis.
• Track project commitments, actual costs, ETC (Estimate to Complete), and EAC (Estimate at Completion).
• Coordinate with Project Management, Planning, Procurement, Finance, and Commercial teams.
• Monitor subcontractor, supplier, and purchase order costs.
• Support budgeting, cost allocation, and project cost forecasting.
• Identify cost variances and report potential deviations to management.
• Support variation orders, change management, and commercial cost tracking.
• Prepare periodic reports, dashboards, charts, and management presentations.
• Ensure project costs are aligned with WBS, CBS, and Cost Codes.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering.
• 8–15 years of experience in Cost Control or Project Controls.
• Strong experience in EPC Oil and Gas projects.
• ADNOC project experience is highly preferred.
• Good understanding of WBS, CBS, Cost Codes, budgeting, and forecasting.
• Strong commercial awareness related to purchase orders, invoices, claims, and cost discrepancies.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, including Pivot Tables and large data handling.
• Strong analytical, reporting, and coordination skills.
• Good English communication skills.
• UAE/GCC Oil and Gas experience will be an advantage.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Project cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
• WBS, CBS, Cost Codes, ETC, and EAC methodologies.
• MS Excel, financial reporting, and commercial cost management.
