Description
We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity in the SaaS industry in New York, New York, for an Accounts Payable Specialist. The role is located in a fast-paced office environment, where you will be chiefly responsible for managing and processing accounts payable, vendor invoices, and performing bank reconciliations.
Responsibilities
- Accurately process vendor invoices and manage vendor relationships
- Conduct full cycle Accounts Payable (AP) operations
- Carry out weekly processing of approximately 25-30 payments
- Handle expense report processing in a timely and efficient manner
- Perform bank reconciliations to ensure accurate financial records
- Utilize NetSuite software for various accounting tasks
- Use Microsoft Excel for data entry and management tasks
- Keep track of customer credit applications and maintain precise records
- Resolve customer inquiries related to accounts payable
- Monitor customer accounts and take necessary actions when required
Requirements
- Proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) procedures and operations
- Familiarity with Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions
- Expertise in using NetSuite for financial management and services
- Ability to accurately enter vendor invoices into the system
- Capability to manage vendor relationships effectively and professionally
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including advanced functions and formulas
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to resolve any discrepancies in accounts
- Knowledge of accounting principles and practices
- Ability to maintain confidentiality of sensitive information
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field is preferred
- Prior experience in an accounts payable role is a plus.
