Senior Staff Nurse- Emergency Department

The Emergency Nurse is responsible for providing immediate and specialized nursing care to patients in the emergency department. This includes assessing patient conditions (triage), administering medications, collaborating with the team, and doctors, and ensuring timely and effective interventions.

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in nursing (BSN)
  • Current and or eligible DHA registered nurse (RN) license

Certifications:

  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification.
  • Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification.
  • Trauma Nursing Core Course (TNCC) certification preferred (preferred)

Experience

  • Experience in team leading or shift in-charge responsibilities.
  • Minimum of 2-3 years emergency nursing experience, in the UAE or home country.
  • Pediatric and Adult Emergency Experience (Preferred)

 Clinical Skills:

  • Proficient in assessing and managing emergency medical conditions.
  • Ability to Triage and Rapidly assess patients
  • Administering medications and treatments.
  • Wound care Canulation and Venipuncture.
  • Ability to perform advanced cardiac life support interventions.

 Communication:

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with patients, families, and other healthcare professionals.
  • Strong documentation skills.
  • Quick decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to prioritize and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial patient assessments and implement appropriate interventions.
  • Administer medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Monitor and document patient vital signs and responses to interventions.
  • Communicate with physicians, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive safe patient care.
  • Participate in emergency response teams and code blues.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families.
  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.
  • Attend relevant continuing education programs.
