Job Description:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented and organized individual to join our team as an Inventory Assistant. The Inventory Assistant will play a key role in maintaining accurate inventory records, assisting with stock management, and ensuring efficient operations within the warehouse or inventory department. Responsibilities:
- Assist in receiving, inspecting, and recording incoming shipments of goods and materials.
- Organize and maintain inventory storage areas, ensuring items are properly labeled, stored, and accessible.
- Perform regular inventory counts and audits to verify accuracy and identify discrepancies.
- Input data into inventory management software or spreadsheets to update inventory records and track stock movements.
- Assist with the picking, packing, and shipping of orders as needed.
- Communicate inventory levels, stock shortages, and replenishment needs to the inventory supervisor or manager.
- Collaborate with other departments, such as purchasing and sales, to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues.
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Participate in training sessions and meetings to stay updated on inventory procedures and policies.
Requirements:
- Previous experience in inventory management or warehouse operations preferred but not required.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and inventory management software.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift and move heavy objects as needed.
- High school diploma or equivalent
