Ro, a leading direct-to-patient healthcare company, is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Assistants / Patient Advocates to join our Care Delivery team. Ro delivers nationwide telehealth, lab, and pharmacy services, providing patients with a seamless end-to-end healthcare experience. This role supports patients and providers by managing non-clinical administrative tasks, offering concierge-style service, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and clinical staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide empathetic, high-quality service to patients, addressing non-clinical questions via messaging and proactively going above and beyond to meet patient needs
  • Assist providers with administrative support in the Care Center (medical records system)
  • Triage messages, responding, reassigning, and resolving patient inquiries efficiently
  • Collaborate with team members to solve dynamic patient workflow challenges
  • Contact pharmacies and insurance providers to resolve non-clinical prescription issues
  • Provide feedback on workflow, provider responsiveness, and quality of service
  • Support management of benefits verification and prior authorizations for weight management patients
  • Pilot new initiatives to improve patient retention and operational efficiency

Required Qualifications:

  • 1-2 years of administrative or customer-facing experience
  • Experience with insurance plans and policies preferred
  • Previous remote or start-up work experience preferred
  • Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience a plus
  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Experience in fast-paced clinical care or iterative environments preferred
  • Proficient in EHR systems and navigating multiple applications
  • Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
  • Adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work holidays within scheduled shifts

Shift Availability (4 days/week, 10-hour shifts):

  • Sunday–Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET
  • Wednesday–Saturday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET
