Ro, a leading direct-to-patient healthcare company, is seeking compassionate and detail-oriented Virtual Medical Assistants / Patient Advocates to join our Care Delivery team. Ro delivers nationwide telehealth, lab, and pharmacy services, providing patients with a seamless end-to-end healthcare experience. This role supports patients and providers by managing non-clinical administrative tasks, offering concierge-style service, and facilitating smooth communication between patients and clinical staff.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide empathetic, high-quality service to patients, addressing non-clinical questions via messaging and proactively going above and beyond to meet patient needs
- Assist providers with administrative support in the Care Center (medical records system)
- Triage messages, responding, reassigning, and resolving patient inquiries efficiently
- Collaborate with team members to solve dynamic patient workflow challenges
- Contact pharmacies and insurance providers to resolve non-clinical prescription issues
- Provide feedback on workflow, provider responsiveness, and quality of service
- Support management of benefits verification and prior authorizations for weight management patients
- Pilot new initiatives to improve patient retention and operational efficiency
✅ Required Qualifications:
- 1-2 years of administrative or customer-facing experience
- Experience with insurance plans and policies preferred
- Previous remote or start-up work experience preferred
- Medical Assistant or Certified Nursing Assistant experience a plus
- Bachelor’s Degree preferred
- Experience in fast-paced clinical care or iterative environments preferred
- Proficient in EHR systems and navigating multiple applications
- Strong organizational, time-management, and problem-solving skills
- Adaptable, proactive, and detail-oriented
- Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills
- Ability to work holidays within scheduled shifts
Shift Availability (4 days/week, 10-hour shifts):
- Sunday–Wednesday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET
- Wednesday–Saturday: 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM ET
