Description:
Pairs is seeking a Venture Capital Associate to expand and manage its global investor network, including family offices, institutional investors, venture capital firms, and angel investors. This remote opportunity is designed for professionals who have built strong investor relationships and understand private company investments.
The successful candidate will focus on developing investor partnerships, understanding investment preferences, and connecting qualified investors with opportunities that align with their interests. The role involves working closely with the co-founders and investor team in a fast-moving, relationship-driven environment.
Pairs operates as a direct investment network rather than a traditional fund, allowing investors to participate directly in private company opportunities. This position requires someone who can independently build trusted relationships and identify investors ready to evaluate investment opportunities.
Key Responsibilities:
• Build and maintain strong relationships with family offices, high-net-worth individuals, angel investors, and other private market participants.
• Expand the investor network by developing new relationships every month through outreach, referrals, and professional networks.
• Understand investor preferences, including preferred sectors, investment stages, check sizes, and decision-making criteria.
• Match suitable investment opportunities with relevant investors based on their interests and investment strategies.
• Maintain regular communication with investors and provide value throughout the relationship lifecycle.
• Collaborate with the co-founders and investor team to evaluate opportunities and improve investor engagement processes.
• Manage investor information while maintaining confidentiality and professional discretion.
Requirements:
• Proven experience building personal relationships with investors or private market participants.
• Ability to demonstrate experience taking investor relationships from initial conversations through direct investment participation.
• Strong understanding of venture capital, private company investments, investment stages, and investor decision-making.
• Experience working with family offices, angel investors, venture capital firms, or high-net-worth individuals is preferred.
• Excellent relationship management, communication, and networking skills.
• High level of discretion when handling confidential investor information.
• Comfortable using AI tools to improve productivity while maintaining quality standards.
