With Babel Audio, you can help shape the future of conversational AI by ensuring high-quality transcripts and written content. We’re looking for detail-oriented Transcription & Content QA Editors to review and improve human-created transcripts of real conversations in English
This is a great fit for people with backgrounds in journalism, transcription, editing, writing, linguistics, or digital media. You’ll work with real-world conversational content and help refine it for clarity, consistency, and accuracy.
About the role:
- Review and lightly edit transcripts of audio conversations for grammar, punctuation, formatting, and transcription accuracy
- Ensure adherence to style guides while preserving the natural tone and flow of spoken dialogue
- Flag transcription issues (e.g., mishears, inaudibles) and help elevate content quality
- Work independently and meet consistent turnaround expectations
About you:
- You’re fluent in English and have excellent grammar, listening, and editing skills
- You have prior experience in at least one of the following: Transcription (e.g., Rev, TranscribeMe, etc.), copy editing or proofreading, writing, journalism, or content QA
- You’re highly detail-oriented and able to follow complex guidelines
- You have a reliable computer and internet connection
- You enjoy working independently and hitting quality benchmarks
Schedule & expectations:
- This is a fully remote, freelance/contract opportunity
- You must be available at least 25 hours per week
- Full-time availability (40+ hours/week) is highly preferred
- Flexible hours: work on your own schedule
Compensation:
- $20.00 – $40.00 per hour, depending on experience, accuracy, and project complexity
- Paid hourly for actual time worked (not audio length)
