Description:

ALCHEMY is looking to hire an experienced Supervisor – Accounts to lead and manage core accounting functions within its operations in the Oil & Gas sector. This role is suited for a highly skilled finance professional with strong expertise in financial reporting, compliance, and ERP-based accounting systems.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing financial processes, ensuring accuracy in reporting, and maintaining compliance with regulatory standards while supporting strategic financial planning.

Key Responsibilities and Requirements:

• Supervise and ensure accurate recording, classification, and maintenance of all financial transactions in line with accounting standards and company policies

• Oversee Accounts Payable processes, including invoice verification, approval workflows, compliance checks, and resolution of discrepancies

• Manage Accounts Receivable functions such as invoicing, follow-ups on payments, and maintaining proper documentation records

• Handle accounting related to crude oil sales, including validation of sales documents, preparation of accounting entries, and cost transfers to Head Office

• Maintain and manage general ledger activities, ensuring proper bookkeeping and compliance with statutory regulations

• Lead monthly, quarterly, and annual financial closing processes, including reconciliations and preparation of financial reports

• Manage VAT calculations, reporting, and submissions to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), ensuring compliance with UAE tax regulations

• Oversee Oracle ERP system operations, including coordination with vendors, system upgrades, internal controls, and audit support

• Supervise inventory and materials accounting, including stock reconciliation and coordination with relevant departments

• Prepare and analyze financial data for budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance evaluation

• Demonstrate strong knowledge of financial reporting standards, statutory compliance, and regulatory frameworks

• Possess hands-on experience in financial closing, reconciliations, and reporting processes

• Apply budgeting, cost control, and financial analysis techniques effectively

• Ensure strong understanding of ERP-based accounting systems, focusing on data integrity, system controls, and reporting accuracy

• Review contracts and verify expenditures to ensure financial transactions align with approved agreements and policies
