Description:
We are seeking an experienced and commercially savvy Senior Contract Specialist (titles may vary: Manager / Director / Lead) with deep expertise in the Data Center Hyperscale sector. Reporting as a senior member of engagements, you will lead high-stakes contract negotiations and ensure commercial and legal alignment across complex, large-scale technology and facilities projects.
Responsibilities:
- Lead complex negotiations for global agreements including Master Service Agreements (MSAs), vendor/third-party contracts and large project deals.
- Draft and manage pre-contract terms, sub-agreements and downstream supplier contracts across IT, technology and facilities management (FM) scopes.
- Support pre-sales and deal structuring activities, collaborating directly with senior stakeholders, board-level sponsors and legal counsel to close transactions.
- Oversee risk assessment, procurement interactions, EoT (extension of time) claims, contract administration and the escalation of disputes where necessary.
- Act as a client-facing contract lead, ensuring contractual compliance, commercial protection and strategic alignment with client objectives.
- Provide governance on contract lifecycle management and mentor junior contract resources as required.
Requirements:
- Proven subject-matter expertise in the Data Center Hyperscale space, ideally from an owner/operator or major integrator background.
- Extensive experience negotiating global agreements and managing contracts for large-scale projects.
- Strong commercial acumen with the ability to handle multi-party, high-value negotiations and balance diverse stakeholder interests.
- Formal qualification in contract management, commercial law or a related discipline is preferred, along with demonstrable sector knowledge.
- Confident client-facing communicator who performs well under pressure and can represent the organisation at senior levels.
