Description:
ENGIE is urgently seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to join its finance team in Abu Dhabi. This position is well suited for accounting professionals with extensive experience in financial reporting, budgeting, regulatory compliance, and end-to-end accounting operations, particularly within the real estate, property management, or facilities management sectors.
The successful candidate will oversee financial activities, ensure compliance with UAE financial regulations, support audits, and contribute to accurate financial reporting. Immediate joiners are highly preferred for this opportunity.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage full-cycle accounting operations and financial reporting activities.
• Oversee month-end and year-end closing processes.
• Monitor accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow.
• Prepare budgets, variance analysis, and financial statements.
• Ensure compliance with UAE VAT regulations and applicable financial standards.
• Coordinate with internal and external auditors and provide required audit documentation.
• Maintain accurate financial records and support continuous process improvements.
• Assist management with financial analysis and other accounting responsibilities as required.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline.
• Professional certification such as CPA, ACCA, CMA, or an equivalent qualification is preferred.
• 5–8 years of accounting experience, preferably in real estate, property management, or facilities management.
• Strong understanding of financial reporting, budgeting, and accounting best practices.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Immediate availability to join will be considered an advantage.
Strong knowledge of:
• Financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis.
• UAE VAT regulations, accounting standards, and audit coordination.
