Overview:
We are seeking a diligent Post-Contract Engineer to oversee contract administration and financial control during the post-award phase of construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure contracts are executed according to their terms, protect company interests, and support smooth project closeout and payment processes. Immediate joiners based in the UAE are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor contract performance: track contractor deliverables and ensure compliance with contractual obligations and timelines.
- Conduct contract reviews & audits: perform periodic assessments to identify risks, contractual gaps, and opportunities for corrective action.
- Manage variations & amendments: evaluate and negotiate change orders while safeguarding company scope and cost positions.
- Invoice & payment management: review and verify contractor invoices, ensure timely submission and follow-up on payments per contract terms.
- Cost control & financial tracking: monitor project costs, maintain accurate financial records and report on budget variances.
- Subcontractor coordination: oversee subcontractor billing, documentation and compliance requirements.
- Material verification: check site material requests against contract scope and budgets to prevent unauthorized or out-of-scope procurement.
Requirements / Candidate Profile:
- Qualification: Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
- Experience: Minimum 5 years’ relevant experience in the UAE/GCC, preferably in post-contract or commercial roles.
- Technical knowledge: strong familiarity with FIDIC forms and local contract law and practices.
- Skills: excellent negotiation, analytical and communication skills; able to manage financial tracking and contractor claims.
- Practical strengths: proven ability to manage subcontractor documentation and enforce contractual controls.
