Description:
Harris Computer is seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Payroll Administrator to join its remote payroll team in the United States. The role involves managing end-to-end payroll operations for employees across multiple states while ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal financial controls.
The selected candidate will be responsible for accurate payroll processing, reporting, audits, and coordination with HR and finance teams. This position plays a key role in maintaining payroll accuracy, improving operational efficiency, and ensuring adherence to IRS and company compliance requirements.
This is a fully remote opportunity ideal for professionals with strong payroll systems knowledge and experience in large-scale payroll processing environments.
Key Responsibilities:
• Process biweekly payroll for 500+ employees across multiple US states
• Manage payroll components including deductions, W-4 updates, garnishments, leave payments, and terminations
• Prepare and review General Ledger (GL) reports and financial reconciliations
• Coordinate with HR for employee onboarding, benefits deductions, and leave management
• Ensure compliance with IRS regulations and payroll tax reporting requirements
• Perform regular payroll audits to ensure accuracy and compliance
• Resolve payroll discrepancies and respond to employee payroll inquiries
• Support continuous improvement of payroll systems and internal processes
Requirements:
• Minimum 3+ years of hands-on payroll processing experience
• Experience with large-scale payroll systems (ADP, Ceridian, Workday, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of payroll regulations and tax compliance
• Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
• High proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint)
• Ability to work independently in a remote environment
• Strong knowledge of:

• HR coordination and benefits administration
• Financial reconciliation and GL reporting
• Payroll software systems (Workday, Ceridian Dayforce preferred)
