Charlie Health is currently seeking a compassionate and detail-oriented Patient Finance Specialist to support clients and families throughout their treatment journey. This role plays a vital part in ensuring clients feel welcomed, informed, and supported after admission, while also helping them understand financial and insurance-related aspects of care.

As a Patient Finance Specialist, you will serve as a primary point of contact for clients and families, building strong relationships and coordinating closely with internal teams to deliver a seamless and supportive care experience. This position is well-suited for individuals who are passionate about mental health, client advocacy, and delivering exceptional service in a fast-paced, virtual care environment.

Key Responsibilities:
• Make outbound calls, emails, and text messages to newly admitted clients to confirm enrollment and engagement in treatment
• Support clients in understanding insurance benefits and completing required financial enrollments
• Act as a liaison between patients and internal teams including Admissions, Billing, Utilization Review, Outreach, and Clinical teams
• Assist the Clinical Care team by addressing client-related requests to enhance the overall care experience
• Identify gaps in treatment attendance and proactively reach out to resolve barriers impacting participation
• Communicate aftercare resources such as outpatient therapy options and assist families with post-treatment scheduling
• Manage client schedules, including booking, rescheduling, and coordinating appointments
• Complete documentation accurately and within required timelines
• Adapt to organizational changes and evolving processes to best serve clients and families
• Meet established KPIs related to scheduling, financial agreements, call volume, issue resolution, aftercare coordination, and client satisfaction

Requirements:
• Strong alignment with Charlie Health’s mission, values, and commitment to client-centered care
• High school diploma or equivalent qualification
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• At least 2 years of experience in customer success, patient support, or similar roles
• 1–2 years of experience using Salesforce or a comparable CRM platform
• Experience working with contact center technologies
• Prior experience discussing financial matters with clients; health insurance or medical billing knowledge is a strong advantage
• Ability to multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment
• High emotional intelligence and professionalism when working with clients and families
• Working knowledge of HIPAA policies and procedures
• Authorization to work in the United States with native or bilingual English proficiency
• Comfort using cloud-based tools such as Slack, G-Suite, Microsoft Office, Zoom, and EMR systems
