Job Responsibilities:

  • Analyze insurance claim denials for DME supplies and submit effective written appeals
  • Review denied claims for proper coding and make corrections when needed
  • Investigate claims without payer responses to ensure they are received and processed
  • Identify trends or patterns in denials to prevent future errors proactively
  • Collaborate with team members on coding concerns and support training initiatives

Required Qualifications:

  • Three or more years of experience in DME billing and coding
  • Experience with insurance claim collections
  • Knowledge of Medicare and/or Medicaid procedures
  • Understanding of DME processes and workflow
  • High school diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with EDI transmission
  • Strong research, analytical, and critical thinking skills
  • Ability to assess claims and appeals effectively
