Description:
Eire Gulf Interiors is looking for a Junior Joinery Draftsman to support the preparation of detailed joinery shop drawings, production drawings, and technical documentation for interior fit-out and joinery projects in Dubai.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Joinery Manager and senior team members to ensure drawings are accurate, practical, and aligned with project requirements. This role offers an opportunity to develop technical skills while contributing to high-quality interior and joinery solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
• Prepare detailed joinery shop drawings based on IFC drawings, 3D renders, and project requirements.
• Assist in creating production drawings, cutting lists, material schedules, and joinery details.
• Review and update drawings based on consultant feedback and site requirements.
• Interpret architectural and interior design drawings into practical joinery drawings.
• Coordinate with design, estimation, production, and site teams to ensure drawing accuracy.
• Conduct site visits when required to verify measurements and resolve technical issues.
• Ensure drawings comply with company standards and project specifications.
• Maintain organized records of drawing revisions and project documentation.
• Assist with architectural drafting and fit-out drawings when required.
• Support senior draftsmen and participate in coordination meetings.
• Stay updated with AutoCAD standards, joinery detailing techniques, materials, and production methods.
Requirements:
• Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Interior Design, Civil Engineering, or a related field is an advantage.
• Minimum 2 years of experience as a Joinery Draftsman or CAD Draftsman within the joinery/interior fit-out industry.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD.
• Knowledge of SketchUp, Revit, CAD+T, or SolidWorks is an advantage.
• Good understanding of joinery manufacturing, materials, woodworking details, and production processes.
• Ability to interpret architectural, interior design, and construction drawings.
• Strong communication, coordination, and attention to detail.
• Ability to work efficiently under project deadlines.
• Strong knowledge of:
• Joinery shop drawings and production documentation
• AutoCAD drafting and technical detailing
• Interior fit-out materials and manufacturing processes
