Description:
We are hiring Junior IT Executive
NEWEAST is looking for a proactive and skilled Junior IT Executive to join their IT Business Systems team. The role is based in JAFZA, Jebel Ali – Dubai and involves managing IT infrastructure, providing end-user support, and maintaining system security across the organization.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Infrastructure & System Maintenance:
- Manage and maintain backups of databases and critical files to ensure data integrity and availability.
- Oversee secured access for CCTV recordings, biometrics, access doors, email, printers, scanners, barcode printers, and hand-held terminals.
- Assist with installation, deployment, and ongoing maintenance of network infrastructure, network devices, and IP phones.
End-User Support & Troubleshooting:
- Provide first-level functional support for all software applications, guiding users through processes and resolving common queries.
- Deliver first-level technical support for hardware, software, network, telephony, communication devices, and peripheral issues.
- Perform scheduled and ad-hoc software installations and upgrades on user systems, minimizing disruption to operations.
Documentation & Reporting:
- Accurately record all support requests, resolutions, and relevant details in a support log for review and performance analysis.
Qualification and Relevant Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
- 2–3 years of experience in IT infrastructure or support roles.
- Certification in networking and security domains is highly preferred.
- Strong experience handling IT support desk operations.
- Hands-on experience in installation, deployment, and maintenance of network devices and IP phones.
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, VLANs, WLAN/LAN.
- Proficiency in firewall management, email, and end-point security.
- Knowledge of ERP, CRM, Warehouse Management, O365, and SharePoint applications is an added advantage.
- Experience maintaining database backups (primary responsibility).
- Exposure to Windows servers, cloud servers, and related services.
- Strong troubleshooting skills.
