Description:
Silver Coast Construction and Boring LLC is seeking a detail-oriented Junior Accountant to join its Finance Department. This role offers an excellent opportunity for early-career professionals to gain hands-on experience in a structured accounting environment while supporting key financial operations within the construction sector.
The selected candidate will be actively involved in day-to-day accounting activities, ensuring accuracy in financial records and supporting compliance with IFRS standards.
Role Overview:
• Perform practical accounting tasks including transaction postings and reconciliations
• Assist in preparing audit schedules in compliance with IFRS requirements
• Support trade finance processes, including LC tracking and documentation
Key Responsibilities and Requirements:
• Handle debits and credits, ERP postings, journal entries, sales invoices, debit/credit notes, and insurance-related entries
• Conduct various reconciliations including bank, vendor, intercompany, and general ledger accounts
• Prepare audit schedules aligned with IFRS standards
• Manage trade finance activities, including Letters of Credit (LC) tracking, documentation, and follow-ups
• Maintain records for fixed assets, inventory, and depreciation schedules
• Demonstrate core accounting knowledge and practical experience
• Ability to perform multiple types of reconciliations accurately
• Familiarity with IFRS audit schedules and compliance requirements
• Proficiency in ERP accounting systems
• 1 to 3 years of relevant work experience in accounting
• Experience in construction accounting will be considered an advantage
Added Advantage:
• Candidates pursuing or partially qualified in ACCA, CMA, CA, or CPA will be preferred
Additional Requirements:
• Candidates must currently be based in the UAE
• Willingness to attend face-to-face interviews is required
