Overview:
Our client — a diversified group with interests across automotive, trading, plastics and paint manufacturing — is seeking an experienced and strategic Head of Finance to lead the finance function from Dubai. This senior leadership role will shape financial strategy, governance and cross-border compliance while partnering with the Board and executive management on growth decisions.
🔹 Reports to: DGM & Group CFO
🔹 Core Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic financial leadership, governance and control across multiple jurisdictions.
- Manage treasury, banking relationships and trade finance operations to support working capital and international trade.
- Oversee tax, VAT and compliance frameworks with particular emphasis on UAE corporate tax and cross-border regulatory requirements.
- Partner with the Board and senior leadership on capital allocation, strategic investments and M&A evaluation.
- Lead and develop high-performing finance teams across geographies, embedding strong financial processes and reporting.
- Implement financial policies, budgets and forecasting to drive profitable growth and risk mitigation.
🔹 Candidate Profile & Preferences:
- 15–20 years’ senior finance experience, ideally with exposure to Dubai and African markets.
- Qualified CA or CFA (or equivalent) with deep understanding of UAE corporate tax, VAT, trade finance and cross-border compliance.
- Strong commercial acumen, excellent stakeholder management and proven ability to influence at Board level.
- Track record of building robust finance functions and managing multi-country operations.
