Description:
A Dubai-based company is seeking an experienced Finance Professional with a strong background in the fashion, apparel, garments, or fashion retail industry. The successful candidate will support the Finance Manager with daily financial and accounting activities while ensuring accurate and timely financial operations.
This role is particularly suited to professionals who have worked with multiple retail outlets or branches and have hands-on experience across accounts payable, accounts receivable, reconciliations, payments, and financial reporting. Strong knowledge of UAE VAT, Excel, and accounting or ERP systems is also required.
Key Responsibilities:
• Support the Finance Manager with day-to-day finance and accounting operations.
• Assist with Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger activities.
• Process supplier invoices, payments, reconciliations, and outstanding balances.
• Maintain accurate financial records and assist with periodic financial reporting.
• Perform account and transaction reconciliations and investigate discrepancies.
• Support financial activities across multiple retail outlets or branches when required.
• Ensure accounting transactions are processed accurately and in accordance with company procedures.
• Assist with UAE VAT-related accounting activities and documentation.
Requirements:
• 6–8 years of Finance & Accounting experience.
• Mandatory experience in Fashion, Apparel, Garments, or Fashion Retail.
• Experience working with multiple retail outlets or branches is highly preferred.
• Strong hands-on experience in AP, AR, reconciliations, payments, and financial reporting.
• Good knowledge of UAE VAT and accounting practices.
• Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
• Experience with ERP or accounting software.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Immediate or short-notice joiners are preferred.
Strong knowledge of:
• Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, and General Ledger
• UAE VAT and accounting practices
• Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software
