Description:
AfterQuery Experts is hiring highly skilled Excel Experts for a remote, project-based opportunity focused on advanced spreadsheet modeling and data analysis work. This role is designed for professionals who excel in building complex financial models, automating workflows, and transforming raw data into clear and actionable insights.
This is a flexible engagement where selected experts will work on a variety of high-impact projects over a short-term period (2–3 weeks), contributing to real-world business and research challenges in collaboration with a cutting-edge AI-focused organization.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain advanced Excel models including financial forecasting, scenario analysis, and operational dashboards
• Build complex spreadsheet systems using advanced formulas, pivot tables, Power Query, and VBA/macros
• Clean, structure, and transform large datasets for analytical and reporting purposes
• Design visually clear and professional dashboards for business stakeholders
• Document all model logic, assumptions, and methodologies for clarity and reproducibility
• Work independently on assigned analytical projects within deadlines
Requirements:
• Expert-level proficiency in Microsoft Excel including advanced formulas, Power Query, pivot tables, and VBA
• Proven experience in building complex spreadsheet models or analytical tools in a professional setting
• Strong attention to detail with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
• Ability to work independently in a remote, project-based environment
• Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Data Science, Mathematics, Business, or related discipline
Preferred Qualifications:
• Experience in financial modeling, FP&A, or business intelligence
• Familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Solver, or similar Excel integrations
• Experience automating workflows using Python (openpyxl, xlwings) or VBA
• Experience in training or mentoring others in Excel or data analysis
