Description:

Fisher Phillips is seeking a detail-oriented and highly organized Docketing Specialist to join its firm-wide litigation support team. This is a fully remote opportunity within a leading international labor and employment law firm known for delivering high-quality legal services across multiple jurisdictions.

The selected candidate will be responsible for managing and maintaining litigation deadlines with precision and accuracy using Aderant Milana. The role plays a critical part in ensuring attorneys, paralegals, and legal staff across the firm are consistently informed of important court deadlines and procedural timelines, helping maintain compliance and operational efficiency.

This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of court rules, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven legal environment while supporting multiple offices in a centralized docketing system.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enter, track, and maintain court and administrative deadlines using Aderant Milana

• Review legal documents including pleadings, motions, complaints, summonses, and court notices to identify applicable deadlines

• Calculate and update litigation deadlines in accordance with jurisdictional court rules

• Maintain accurate and up-to-date docket records across multiple jurisdictions

• Monitor upcoming deadlines and communicate critical dates to attorneys and legal staff

• Perform routine audits of docket entries to ensure accuracy, consistency, and compliance

• Identify discrepancies or risks and escalate issues to senior team members when required

• Collaborate with attorneys, paralegals, and administrative teams to support case management

• Assist in maintaining workload balance and operational continuity within the docketing team

• Support system updates, data clean-up, and docketing workflow improvements

• Stay updated on court rules, procedural changes, and jurisdictional requirements

• Participate in training, onboarding, and knowledge-sharing activities

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in legal support or law firm environment

• Prior docketing experience strongly preferred

• Familiarity with Aderant Milana or similar docketing systems is an advantage

• Strong understanding of court procedures and legal deadline calculations

• Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment

• Strong communication and teamwork abilities

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word)

• Experience with litigation tools or court filing systems is a plus
