Description:

micro1 is currently hiring a detail-focused and technically skilled Data-Video Generalist to support cutting-edge data collection projects in the field of activity recognition and machine learning. This role is remote and open only to candidates based in selected U.S. states.

The position involves collecting high-quality synchronized video and sensor (IMU) data using smartphones while performing structured physical tasks. This data will be used to improve next-generation AI and robotics systems, making accuracy, consistency, and adherence to technical instructions extremely important.

Key Responsibilities:

• Capture precise motion data using smartphone IMU sensors during assigned physical tasks

• Record synchronized video footage to ensure accurate validation of collected sensor data

• Follow strict technical protocols to maintain high-quality, well-labeled, and consistent data submissions

• Maintain a minimum contribution of 10 hours of approved video data per week

• Ensure all data submissions meet project quality standards and deadlines

• Communicate effectively with the project team to clarify instructions and improve workflow processes

• Participate in device compatibility checks and AI-based interview evaluations

• Deliver reliable and consistent outputs aligned with project milestones

Requirements:

• Strong ability to follow structured technical instructions and standardized protocols

• Experience in handling digital tools, mobile devices, and remote work environments

• Good communication skills (written and verbal) for documentation and collaboration

• Physical ability to perform repetitive motion tasks safely and accurately

• Access to a compatible smartphone capable of capturing high-quality IMU and video data
