Description:

BlueCross BlueShield of Tennessee is hiring a skilled Data Modeler to join its fully remote team. In this role, you will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable data models across both operational and analytical systems. You will translate business requirements into efficient data structures while ensuring high standards of data quality, governance, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design conceptual, logical, and physical data models for OLTP and data warehouse environments

• Translate business requirements into optimized and scalable data structures

• Establish and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices

• Collaborate with analysts, DBAs, architects, and engineers to align data solutions

• Optimize data models for performance, scalability, and security

• Document data models and maintain governance standards

• Support data integration and enterprise analytics initiatives

• Ensure consistency and accuracy across multiple database systems

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data modeling, data analysis, database design, or related role

• Experience with enterprise data modeling tools such as erwin DM or equivalent

• Experience with FACETS is a plus (not mandatory)

• Strong understanding of database technologies and data architecture principles

• Ability to translate complex technical concepts into clear communication

• Strong interpersonal, analytical, and organizational skills

• Ability to manage multiple tasks with attention to detail and deadlines

• Strong knowledge of:

• Data modeling techniques (conceptual, logical, physical)

• Database systems and data warehouse environments

• Data governance and standards enforcement

• Performance optimization and scalable data design

• Strong communication skills for both technical and non-technical stakeholders

• Must be eligible to work in the United States (no sponsorship available)
