Description:

A leading AI safety and threat intelligence organization is currently seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to join its growing technical team. The selected candidate will play a key role in building and optimizing end-to-end data pipelines that support large-scale data collection, processing, and analysis for research and intelligence-driven applications. This role involves working with both structured and unstructured data in a fast-paced, high-impact environment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and develop scalable end-to-end data pipelines for structured and unstructured data processing

• Build and maintain web scraping systems for data collection, research, and intelligence operations

• Clean, transform, anonymize, and prepare datasets for analysis and machine learning workflows

• Develop, deploy, and maintain APIs to support internal tools and external data access

• Work closely with machine learning engineers, data scientists, and software developers on dashboards and analytics systems

• Utilize Google Cloud Platform services including Cloud Storage, Cloud SQL, Cloud Spanner, Cloud Run, Pub/Sub, and Airflow

• Ensure data quality, reliability, and security across all pipelines and systems

• Optimize existing data infrastructure for performance, scalability, and efficiency

• Support research initiatives by delivering accurate and timely data insights

• Contribute to data governance, compliance, and security best practices

Requirements:

• Minimum 2+ years of experience in data engineering or a closely related role

• Strong proficiency in Python and SQL

• Hands-on experience with web scraping tools such as BeautifulSoup, Selenium, or Scrapy

• Strong knowledge of building and managing large-scale data pipelines

• Experience working with Google Cloud Platform or similar cloud environments

• Ability to handle both structured and unstructured data effectively

• Strong communication skills with ability to explain technical concepts clearly

• Experience working in fast-paced environments such as startups or AI research labs preferred

• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
