The Content Strategist role sits at the center of this mission, supporting cross-functional teams in shaping how information is structured, delivered, and maintained across large-scale government programs that serve millions of people.
Key Responsibilities:
• Develop and execute content strategy for large-scale, long-term digital programs
• Create structured content models, taxonomy frameworks, and information architecture systems
• Design and implement scalable enterprise-level content initiatives across multiple stakeholders
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to align on content goals, user needs, and delivery standards
• Build and optimize editorial workflows, content creation processes, and governance systems
• Conduct research to improve information architecture, usability, and content structure
• Draft, edit, manage, and distribute high-quality content across digital platforms
• Analyze content performance and support analytics planning and tracking strategies
• Mentor and guide junior team members and external partners on content best practices
• Work closely with designers, engineers, and delivery teams in agile environments
Requirements:
• Extensive experience leading complex content strategy and content operations initiatives
• Strong understanding of information architecture, content hierarchy, and structured content design
• Experience in CMS platforms, content migration, and editorial systems
• Knowledge of analytics planning, tracking, and performance evaluation
• Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and align diverse teams on shared goals
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills across technical and non-technical audiences
• Strong collaboration skills with a self-directed and adaptable working style
• Experience working in agile, multidisciplinary teams is highly preferred
Preferred Skills:
• Experience with SEO, metadata strategy, and content modeling
• Ability to design storytelling systems using a human-centered approach
• Familiarity with multimedia content strategy and digital engagement
• Experience building reusable content systems and scalable content architectures
• Comfortable collaborating closely with engineering and product teams
