A Ship Trading Company based in Dubai is currently seeking an experienced Claims Negotiator with a strong background in tanker desk operations. This role is ideal for professionals who have hands-on experience in shipping claims management and a solid understanding of maritime commercial processes.

The selected candidate will be responsible for handling complex shipping claims and coordinating with multiple stakeholders including shipowners, cargo owners, insurers, and freight forwarders. Strong knowledge of maritime terms and financial claim components is essential to ensure accurate and efficient settlements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Handle and negotiate shipping claims related to tanker operations

• Coordinate with shipowners, cargo owners, insurers, and freight forwarders

• Manage and resolve disputes related to demurrage, detention, heating, speed-up, and dues

• Review shipping contracts and documentation for claim validation

• Ensure accurate processing and settlement of maritime claims

• Maintain clear records of all claim-related communications and documentation

Requirements:

• Minimum 3 years of experience in shipping and maritime operations

• Strong experience in handling shipping claims and dispute resolution

• Solid understanding of tanker desk operations and shipping procedures

• Knowledge of maritime law and insurance claim settlement processes

• Ability to coordinate effectively with international shipping stakeholders

• Candidates currently based in Dubai will be preferred

• Strong knowledge of:
