We are recruiting on behalf of a client in the food sector for a results-driven Business Development Manager based in Dubai. This role focuses on growing distribution and sales for premium frozen and specialty food products across retail and HORECA channels. You will lead outreach to key accounts, drive commercial negotiations, and own the full sales cycle from opportunity identification to closing and post-sale support.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prospect, qualify and secure new business with wholesalers, supermarkets, hypermarkets and hospitality groups across the UAE.
- Manage full end-to-end sales cycles — from initial outreach and product demonstrations to negotiating contracts and closing deals.
- Develop and nurture long-term relationships with category managers, purchasing heads and decision-makers in retail and food service.
- Plan and execute launches, promotions and sampling campaigns to drive product awareness and trial.
- Monitor market trends and competitor activity and provide actionable insights to refine sales strategies.
- Collaborate with supply chain and operations teams to ensure on-time delivery and high service levels.
- Maintain sales pipeline, forecasts and budgets, and present performance updates to senior leadership.
Qualifications & Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Food Technology or comparable discipline.
- 5–8 years’ experience in food trading or sales — frozen foods or seafood background highly desirable.
- Deep knowledge of the UAE market with an established network across retail and HORECA channels.
- Excellent negotiation, presentation and communication skills.
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding revenue targets.
- Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.
KPIs:
- Annual revenue growth and achievement of sales targets.
- Onboarding and expansion into new key accounts.
- Client retention and repeat business rates.
- Market penetration across assigned UAE territories.
