Billing Support Associate

About the Job:
RxBenefits is seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Billing Support Associate to join our team. This role focuses on managing billing operations, resolving discrepancies, and supporting administrative tasks to ensure smooth financial operations and accurate client account handling.

Primary Responsibilities Include:

  • Research and resolve routine billing questions and discrepancies.
  • Process customer auto-draft payments and apply customer credits accurately.
  • Maintain customer accounts using the JIRA ticketing system, handling invoice updates, plan access requests, vendor forms, and 5500 requests.
  • Assist with new client setup and billing packet processes.
  • Enter transaction fees into the billing system as provided.
  • Take ownership of billing for specialty products and adhoc requests.
  • Support billing specialists with data formatting, reconciliations, and other administrative tasks.
  • Participate in cross-training within the Accounting department as needed.

Required Skills / Experience:

  • Entry-level experience suitable for a fast-learning environment.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Understanding of confidentiality requirements, especially regarding PHI (Protected Health Information).
  • Collaborative team player with initiative.
  • Strong numerical aptitude and accuracy in working with numbers.

Preferred Skills / Experience:

  • Some related accounting or office experience.
  • Previous experience in the pharmacy benefits industry.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.

Compensation:

  • Anticipated salary range: $40,260 – $47,300 annually.
  • Final compensation will depend on experience, skills, and qualifications.
  • Short-term incentive eligibility, varying by individual and business goals.
