Description:
The Bonadio Group, through its subsidiary Beacon Solutions Group, is currently seeking a detail-oriented Billing Specialist to join its revenue cycle services team. This role focuses on providing billing and financial support services to a wide range of healthcare clients, including nursing homes, hospitals, physician practices, home health agencies, legal entities, and third-party payers.
The ideal candidate will have strong billing expertise and a solid understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes. This position involves hands-on billing operations, client support, and participation in projects aimed at improving financial performance and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
• Provide revenue cycle and billing support to healthcare clients and internal teams
• Perform billing functions including charge entry, payment posting, claims submission, and follow-up
• Handle coding and auditing tasks related to healthcare billing processes
• Assist in cash recovery projects and monitor project productivity performance
• Conduct diagnostic reviews of revenue cycles to identify improvement opportunities
• Prepare detailed written reports based on findings and analysis
• Identify service improvement opportunities and recommend process enhancements for clients
Qualifications:
• Associate’s Degree or higher in a relevant field (minimum requirement)
• At least 3 years of billing experience in physician, hospital, or nursing home settings
• Strong understanding of healthcare revenue cycle processes
• Experience with skilled nursing or private pay billing is preferred
• Billing certification is an advantage
• Familiarity with systems such as ePACES and FISS DDE is preferred
• Willingness to travel within New York, including occasional overnight travel
• Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills
Work Schedule:
• Standard office hours: 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
• Summer schedule: Monday–Thursday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m., Friday 8:00 a.m. – 12:00 noon (based on client needs)
• Flexibility required during peak workload periods
