Description:
Gulf International LLC is currently seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Assistant Storekeeper to support its warehouse operations team in Sharjah. This role is best suited for candidates with hands-on experience in FMCG warehouse environments and a strong understanding of inventory processes.
The selected candidate will be responsible for handling Sales Return (GRV) transactions, ensuring they are processed accurately and within the required timelines. You will also oversee the invoicing of near-expiry and saleable damaged stock, maintaining efficiency and accuracy in all transactions.
A key part of the role involves managing stock movement, ensuring that all saleable goods are transferred promptly to their designated storage areas. You will also monitor the correct segregation and storage of damaged and expired items, ensuring proper disposal procedures are followed in line with company policies.
Maintaining strict adherence to standard operating procedures (SOPs) and health, safety, and environmental (HSE) guidelines is essential. You will coordinate closely with various departments including Sales, Accounts Receivable, Delivery, and Put-away teams to ensure seamless warehouse operations.
Additionally, you will be expected to track team productivity, identify opportunities for process improvements, and contribute to enhancing operational efficiency. Ensuring the proper usage, maintenance, and upkeep of material handling equipment (MHEs) will also be part of your responsibilities.
The ideal candidate should have 2 to 3 years of relevant warehouse experience in the UAE, preferably within the FMCG sector. Proficiency in SAP and advanced Excel is required, along with strong analytical thinking, attention to detail, and effective communication skills.
