Description:
Cigna Healthcare is seeking a skilled Accounts Receivable Manager to oversee account receivable activities for a specific Provider Book of Business and serve as a key partner to the Provider Relations Executive. This role ensures accurate claims administration, monitors performance, and provides guidance to health care providers in managing their accounts receivables. The position involves proactive engagement with providers, internal teams, and matrix partners to drive service improvements and minimize financial risks.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as a core member of the account management team, focusing on Accounts Receivable Management
  • Collaborate with experience managers and matrix partners to resolve and improve accounts receivable issues
  • Contribute to the development of provider strategic plans for aligned books of business
  • Monitor account receivables, performance guarantees, and communicate results to Provider Relations Executive
  • Conduct root cause analysis on accounts receivable trends and resolution strategies
  • Directly interact with providers to educate, communicate, and resolve accounts receivable concerns
  • Participate in meetings with Provider Relations Executive as an accounts receivable Subject Matter Expert
  • Manage corrective action plans and make proactive service improvement recommendations
  • Support service experience review processes for assigned book of business
  • Document, track, and trend accounts receivable issues using appropriate tools
  • Analyze and interpret data to support operational improvements and decision-making

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher strongly preferred, or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years in benefits and claims administration, relationship, or project management
  • Advanced knowledge of claims processing; experience with Proclaim, PMHS, or Facets required
  • Proficient in Excel and PowerPoint; Access knowledge helpful
  • Experience in provider contracting and account setup
  • Strong project management, negotiation, and facilitation skills
  • Ability to perform root cause analysis and problem resolution
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for internal and external stakeholders
  • Flexibility to attend provider meetings as required
  • Ability to take ownership of tasks/projects and work independently
  • Minimal travel required
  • Reliable high-speed internet for remote work
