Description:
[Fidelity & Guaranty Life Insurance Company (F&G) is seeking a skilled Accounts Payable Specialist to support its finance operations. This role is responsible for managing the company’s accounts payable activities, employee expense reimbursements, and cash balances. The specialist will also assist the Treasury team with administrative duties, file organization, and correspondence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Process cash disbursement requests, prioritize items for payment, and record cash impact for financial analysis
  • Support weekly accounts payable cycles, ensuring smooth transfer of vouchers from Coupa into Oracle and processing disbursements
  • Engage with internal and external customers to satisfy requests timely while maintaining internal control standards
  • Administer employee expense and reimbursement programs
  • Assist in managing daily cash position, prioritizing and staging daily work, ensuring settlement of transactions, reconciling variances, and escalating issues as needed
  • Provide primary support and backup for Treasury Analysts, maintaining department organization
  • Prepare and manage bank paperwork and correspondence as directed
  • Proactively identify process improvements and plan for contingencies
  • Support internal control objectives by documenting, testing, and remediating gaps, and escalating issues to management
  • Perform special projects and other duties as assigned

Experience and Education Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree required, preferably in accounting or finance
  • Proficiency with Outlook, Word, Excel, and Adobe
  • Experience with payment systems such as Concur or Coupa
  • Familiarity with automated banking and cash management systems, preferably FIS Integrity
  • ERP software experience, preferably Oracle
  • Insurance, banking, or financial services experience preferred

Skills and Abilities:

  • Solid understanding of Microsoft Office
  • Highly motivated self-starter and team player with energy and willingness to take on responsibilities
  • Strong communication skills across all management levels, especially for urgent issues
  • Exceptional administrative skills, accuracy, and attention to detail
