Description:

Etihad Energy Holding is looking for a detail-oriented Accounts Payable Accountant to join its finance team in Dubai. This role is ideal for accounting professionals who have strong experience in accounts payable, financial record management, and supplier payment processes within a fast-paced business environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for handling supplier invoices, maintaining accurate financial records, reconciling vendor accounts, and coordinating with internal departments to ensure timely and accurate payment processing. The position also supports month-end closing activities, audits, and financial reporting while ensuring compliance with company policies and UAE financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Review, verify, and process supplier invoices while ensuring all required supporting documents are complete.

• Maintain accurate accounts payable records and vendor ledger balances.

• Communicate with suppliers regarding invoice status, payment schedules, and account inquiries.

• Resolve invoice discrepancies, pricing differences, tax-related issues, and missing documentation.

• Coordinate with Procurement, Operations, Receiving, and Finance teams to ensure smooth payment processing.

• Reconcile supplier statements and investigate outstanding balances or unresolved transactions.

• Prepare supplier payments for approval and issue payment confirmations or remittance advice after processing.

• Support month-end closing activities, financial audits, and reporting requirements.

• Ensure supplier obligations are settled accurately and within established timelines.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Master’s degree or professional accounting certification will be considered an advantage.

• Minimum of 3 years of experience in accounting or a similar finance role.

• Proven experience in auditing and strong knowledge of UAE tax regulations.

• Proficiency in accounting software and financial reporting tools.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.

• Experience working in the marine or energy industry is preferred.
