Description:
[Nascent is seeking a highly skilled Accounting Analyst to join our remote team, operating within +/- 3 hours of EST. This role sits at the intersection of traditional finance and digital assets, providing ownership over financial data integrity, reconciliation, and reporting. You will work closely with operators and engineers to improve workflows, automate processes, and maintain audit-ready financial records.
Key Responsibilities:
- Own and maintain books across both fiat and crypto, managing full-cycle accounting from source activity to reporting
- Transform messy data into reliable systems by designing workflows and controls alongside engineering and operations teams
- Ensure reconciliations, ledgers, and documentation are accurate, detailed, and audit-ready
- Automate manual processes using integrations, tools, or scripting to increase efficiency
- Identify and resolve issues proactively while implementing scalable improvements
- Support enhancements to Nascent’s crypto accounting systems, including wallet activity and reporting

- Take full ownership of outcomes and deliver results without hand-holding
- Thrive in ambiguous, fast-moving, high-motion environments
- Solve root problems and build scalable systems while maintaining speed
- Utilize AI and automation to streamline workflows and improve quality
- Hands-on, detail-oriented, and willing to dive deep into complex tasks
Preferred Experience:
- 5-6 years of experience in accounting, audit, or financial operations
- Formal accounting training (CPA track or equivalent)
- High digital fluency with AI-driven workflows and modern analytics tools
- Proven ability to operate in fast-paced, ambiguous environments
Nice to Haves:
- Experience at a Big 4 firm or within complex financial structures
- Familiarity with crypto accounting or digital asset workflows
- Experience in building or contributing to financial software
- Background in lean teams or startup environments emphasizing speed, ownership, and adaptability
