Role Overview:
We are seeking a meticulous and proactive Accountant who has completed their education in the UAE and is ready to take ownership of day-to-day finance operations. The ideal candidate will ensure accurate record-keeping, timely reporting, and full compliance with UAE VAT requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
• Maintain the general ledger and post timely, accurate journal entries.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports for management review.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable and perform GL reconciliations.
• Reconcile bank statements and support cash flow monitoring.
• Prepare and file VAT returns, ensuring adherence to UAE tax regulations.
• Assist external auditors by providing required documentation and coordinating audit requests.
• Support budgeting and forecasting activities and perform variance analysis.
• Keep financial documentation organized and readily accessible.
• Liaise with vendors and internal stakeholders to resolve finance-related queries.
Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline — UAE-educated is compulsory.
• Minimum 2 years of relevant accounting experience in the UAE (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of accounting principles and UAE VAT legislation.
• Proficiency in accounting software such as Tally, QuickBooks, Zoho, or similar systems.
• Advanced Excel skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work independently or within a small finance team.
