Description:
DDU Shipping & Logistics LLC (DDU Express) is looking for an experienced Accountant to join its team in Dubai. The role requires a finance professional with relevant UAE accounting experience within the logistics and freight-forwarding sector.
The successful candidate will handle key accounting activities including freight job costing, invoicing, accounts receivable, accounts payable, VAT-related tasks, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting. Strong familiarity with UAE accounting procedures and compliance requirements is essential.
Candidates should have strong attention to detail, be capable of working independently, and have practical experience using Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel. Candidates currently available in the UAE and those who can join immediately are preferred.
Key Responsibilities:
• Manage accounting activities related to logistics and freight-forwarding operations.
• Handle freight job costing, invoicing, receivables, and payables.
• Support VAT-related accounting and compliance activities.
• Perform regular bank reconciliations and maintain accurate financial records.
• Assist with financial reporting and related accounting documentation.
• Ensure accounting activities follow applicable UAE procedures and compliance requirements.
• Maintain accurate records and complete assigned accounting tasks independently.
Requirements:
• Proven accounting experience in the UAE logistics and freight-forwarding industry.
• Strong knowledge of freight job costing, invoicing, accounts receivable, and accounts payable.
• Experience with VAT, bank reconciliation, and financial reporting.
• Proficiency in Tally Prime and Microsoft Excel.
• Familiarity with UAE accounting procedures and compliance requirements.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage accounting responsibilities effectively.
• Candidates currently available in the UAE are preferred.
