Description:
Ascend Learning is seeking a motivated and client-focused Account Manager to join our team remotely in the Baltimore, Maryland area. The ideal candidate will drive sales strategies, manage a large client base, and expand business opportunities while delivering exceptional customer experiences.
Key Responsibilities:
- Present, sell, and close business while addressing client objectives and proactively collaborating with internal teams.
- Develop strategic roadmaps to achieve positive client outcomes.
- Map client stakeholders, including champions, users, technical staff, and decision-makers.
- Manage and nurture the sales pipeline with timely follow-ups and progress tracking.
- Maintain and grow existing client relationships, manage account retention, and identify upsell/cross-sell opportunities.
- Negotiate deals, provide customer guidance, and develop growth strategies based on market insights.
- Collect implementation details and provide exceptional client collaboration.
- Report on sales activity, forecasts, and market dynamics to management.
- Conduct strategic reviews to align solutions with clients and identify new business opportunities.
- Leverage market knowledge and client insights for effective territory management and cross-sell activities.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in sales account management.
- Strong negotiation skills to secure mutually beneficial client deals.
- Excellent written communication skills for sales documentation.
- Ability to build trust and maintain regular client contact.
- Strong analytical abilities for sales data interpretation and strategic decision-making.
- Willingness to travel up to 10% of the time.
