Head of IP/Trademark (Dubai Base)

Job Location: Dubai, UAE

Job Description:

• Managing the company’s IP/Trademark portfolio by identifying new opportunities for expansion and renewal of existing uses of intellectual property
• Strategically developing and managing company’s global trademark portfolios.
• Primarily responsible for managing and directing the activities of outside counsel; actively assisting in the preparation, filing, and prosecution of domestic and foreign IP applications, including preparing arguments in response to office actions.
• Propose and carry out intellectual property protection strategies for the company.
• Drafting pleadings, affidavits, briefs, appeals, and other legal documents.
• Review, approve and budget IP expenditure. Manage expenses to budget.
• Knowledge on valuable intellectual property rights such as patents, technical data, trade secrets, licenses, copyrights, design, and most importantly trademarks.

Job Requirements:

• Must be a Lawyer.
• Must have Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Intellectual Property/Law or other related field.
• Highly knowledgeable on technical and legal aspects of intellectual property.
• Experience in communication and coordination with international clients and associates is a MUST.
• Must relocate to UAE, the Head office location is in Dubai.
