Hiring General Accountant – Dubai, U.A.E
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented, experienced General Accountant preferably an Arabic to join our financial firm in the UAE. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing all aspects of bookkeeping, accounts receivable, and other accounting-related tasks, should have a strong understanding of accounting principles, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team and contribute to our continued growth and success.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
- Process invoices, payments, and receipts.
- Reconcile bank statements and credit card accounts.
- Manage accounts receivable, including sending invoices, following up on overdue payments, and processing collections.
- Prepare and submit tax filings.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes.
- Prepare financial reports and analysis as needed.
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and regulations.
- Assist with audits as required.
- Manage and Oversee Inventory Accounting
- Handle petty cash and other cash management duties.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as assigned.
- Assist in the development of financial plans and strategies to support business growth.
- Collaborate with other departments and management to provide financial information and support decision-making
- Investigate and resolve financial issues or discrepancies.
- Recommend solutions to improve financial performance and efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends, accounting best practices, and technological advancements.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field with minimum 3-4 years of experience in accounting & bookkeeping.
- Strong understanding of accounting principles (IFRS).
- Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., ZOHO, QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel.
