What To Expect (Job Responsibilities)

  • Ensure all calls routed to the billing phone queue are promptly answered and resolved in accordance with approved billing policies and procedures
  • Prepare and post patient payments using electronic or manual methods
  • Identify and resolve patient billing complaints effectively
  • Evaluate patients’ financial status and establish budget payment plans
  • Perform various collection actions, including contacting patients by phone

What Is Required (Qualifications)

  • Minimum educational requirement: High School Diploma or GED
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience in a billing role
  • Knowledge of medical billing and collection practices
  • Ability to operate a computer, related software, and basic office equipment
  • Excellent communication skills with attention to detail and timeliness

How To Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications)

  • Experience working with Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) billing and revenue cycle activities
  • Bilingual in oral and written Spanish and English
