Customer Service and Operation Specialist

OOCL Logistics (Asia Pacific) Limited – Dubai Branch

Responsibilities:

  • Handle multiple sea and air shipments end to end at the same time
  • Interact with our customers in arranging their shipments, exceeding customer service expectations.
  • Provides spot quotations and closes contracts
  • Ability to handle both LCL and FCL shipments and hazardous.
  • Submit shipping instructions timely and accurately
  • Arranging for DO and B/L collection
  • Arranging Customs clearance – BOE – and documentation.
  • Ensure documents are timely sent to customer for customs purposes.
  • Understand all shipping incoterms for freight shipments
  • Coordinates all warehousing and logistics activities with logistics team to meet customers project deadlines and targets
  • Ensures technology is properly and fully utilized to achieve the full benefit to the customer and the company.
  • Ensure timely movement and delivery of freight to customers.
  • Ensure accurate and timely data entry into our operating system.
  • Complete job costing and billing.
  • Provides support to the sales team for customer development and maintenance
  • Applies knowledge of Freight Forwarding and freight structure and operations to resolve problems, make decisions and achieve business objectives
  • Track and trace shipments and provide customers with daily or weekly tracking report as required.
  • Ensure accurate and timely client invoicing.
  • Understand department process flow, constantly looking for areas of improved efficiency.
  • Contribute to maintain strong relationships with suppliers (airlines, shipping lines, trucking companies, and others)
  • Ensure all customers’ standard operating procedures are followed and updated.
  • Meet KPI standards, as per the company procedures
