Description:
We are looking for Cost Accountant in Senior Level in well versed Manufacturing sector;
Candidate must have strong communication, interpersonal, analytical and technology skills. Businesses seek individuals with at least five years’ experience and a bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, proficiency with Microsoft Office applications and enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems. An accreditation such as certified public accountant (CPA) or certified management accountant (CMA), as well as a master’s degree in business administration (MBA), are highly valued.
Analyzing manufacturing operations, equipment availability and utilization
Key activities and responsibilities
- Designing and implementing cost accounting systems
- Analyse any changes in goods or services provided in order to determine what effect it has on the cost.
- Analyse manufacturing costs and prepare regular reports comparing standard costs to actual production costs.
- Make estimates of new and proposed product costs.
- Provide management with reports that specify and compare factors that affect prices and profitability of products or services.
- Conduct physical inventories and monitor the cycle count program.

- Work on product costing for current and proposed products considering all cost elements.
- Review of Bills of material with physical consumption before BOM finalization in system.
- Calculation of process costs for different types of products.
- Calculation of overheads of plant on standard cost method.
- Calculation of overhead rates for allocation to products.
- Review of the variances (Rate and consumption) and reporting of the same.
- Review the inventory and report any anomalies and aged items.
- Prepare Plant MIS with commentary on variances.
- Prepare cost trends for various category of raw materials and highlight any anomalies or unusual trends.
- Prepare Plant budgets.
- Prepare Forecasts
- Any other task as required by Management
Experience
- Experience of 4-5 years in Paint/Pharma/Chemical industry.
- Understanding of Standard cost and Process costing.
- Knowledge of ERP (Manufacturing)
Academic Qualifications
- ICWA/CA/CPA
