We’re looking for a reliable Accounting Assistant to join the finance team at a busy logistics company in Dubai. This on-site role is ideal for someone with practical bookkeeping experience who can handle routine accounting tasks, support month-end activities, and help keep financial records accurate and audit-ready.
Key Requirements:
- Solid grounding in basic accounting principles and processes.
- Proficiency with accounting software and strong Microsoft Excel skills.
- Attention to detail and excellent organizational habits.
- At least 2 years’ experience working in the logistics sector.
- Ability to work on-site in Dubai and collaborate with operations and admin teams.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Process daily accounting transactions, including invoice entry, expense tracking and posting journal entries.
- Carry out reconciliations for bank accounts, supplier statements and petty cash.
- Support month-end closing tasks by preparing schedules and required documentation.
- Assist with vendor payments and billing queries, coordinating with internal teams to resolve discrepancies.
- Help maintain accurate financial records to ensure compliance and readiness for audits.
